I hold a Relate diploma and have worked for many years as a couples and individual counsellor. I am trained as a family counsellor in a wide range of schools. I am currently working with couples at a Relate centre.

In the past 7 years I have been employed as a NHS counsellor. I have worked from doctors surgeries with individuals presenting a wide variety of problems. Throughout my employment history I have worked in the voluntary sector, supporting the elderly, as a lay member for Legal Aid and for different charities such as Samaritans, SSAFA and RNLI.

These experiences have given me a great over view and understanding of people’s lives and the difficulties they may encounter.

I have undertaken training in, Alcohol in Couples, Anger and Anxiety Management, Autistic Spectrum Disorders, Adolescents, Bereavement, Domestic Violence in families, Drugs and Alcohol Awareness, Eating Disorders and many others.

I have an on-going commitment to training and personal growth. I respect the BACP [British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy] and practise in accordance with their professional code of ethics [www.bacp.co.uk]
